BRAND IDENTITY, WEB DESIGN
Joan has a million ideas per second. He also has a great heart and an immense thirst for new experiences, for having fun, for connecting with people and their stories. After years of experience as a Director of Photography for commercials, movies and documentaries, Joan decided it was time to have a brand for his business, and to update his web portfolio to match the new identity.
A CLEAN, ELEGANT AND CINEMATOGRAPHIC APPROACH WAS NEEDED TO CREATE A VISUAL IDENTITY THAT WOULD BLEND IN WITH HIS DIVERSE WORK AND MATCH HIS BRILLIANT REPUTATION AS A DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
ART DIRECTION, CONCEPTUALIZATION, GRAPHIC DESIGN
The concept behind this elegant and clean identity was the focus of a camera, and his bold attitude towards capturing moments. Therefore I created simple layouts that would act as a frame for images or copy, and that could carry his logo from margin to margin, taking the subtle font and giving it relevance to represent his creative approach to photography, his attitude.
For his website/portfolio the focus had to be his work, his eye, and his experience working on multiple categories of film. The frame-like resource from his identity allowed to create spaces that could put his work on the spot without competing for attention, and at the same time allow the brand to come through.
